This is a new position with the goal of getting things done better and faster and helping drive efficiencies throughout our service operations. You’ll be focused on Bookkeeping, and management of our Professional Service Automation (Autotask). Your position may include other responsibilities as well.
What kind of person are we looking for?
Cutting Edge – As an IT Managed Service Provider, we are focused on delivering the latest and greatest to our clients, while keeping their business objectives in the front of our minds. That means that we need you to provide quick and accurate service, assist with various accounting clients’ needs and assist in the full sales process in coordination with our team.
Thirsty for Knowledge – Our clients have questions, and it’s important that you give them great answers! We want you to be the Wikipedia of all things accounting and service delivery when clients ask. That means learning our Professional Service Automation (Autotask), Remote Monitoring and Management System and others. Don’t worry – knowledge in these areas will be general, but you must learn what each of our tools do and how they affect our clients.
An Accomplished Juggler – You’ll be juggling accounting, office administration and other accounting needs, while simultaneously avoiding nerf darts each day. We’re looking for your best Matrix-like Keanu Reeves impression while you’re knocking out business tasks faster than we can send new ones your way.
Calm, Cool, and Collected – You’re likely to get thrown a few curve balls as our bookkeeper. We need you to be able to take a deep breath, wait for the right moment, and knock them out of the park.
An Excellent Communicator – Our clients see our bookkeeper as part of our management team, and we need you to be able to talk to them on their terms, and have them not only understand you, but hopefully hang on your every word (and follow your lead).
So, what will I be doing every day?
Maintaining proper bookkeeping and accounting for our company
Financial reconciliation of bank accounts
Billing out monthly invoices and project work via our PSA (Professional Service Automation)
Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports
Liaise with executive administrative assistants to
- Answer and directing phone calls as necessary
- Handle requests and queries from senior managers
- Organize and schedule appointments
- Plan meetings and take detailed minutes
Improve and maintain the filing system
Maintain vendor contact lists
Provide general support to staff and customers
What are the requirements for this position?
Here is a list of our “must-haves” in a Full Charge Bookkeeper:
Capable – You must have experience as a bookkeeper. Office management would be a plus.
Knowledgeable – Understanding the distribution of transactions to correct accounts and experience using QuickBooks Desk Pro.
Honest – We want the truth, and to hear it from you straight without all of the sugar coating. That’s what you’ll get from us, and we expect the same in return.

What do I get for all my hard work?
Good question! Here’s the scoop on this position:
Money – The compensation range for this position is $20 – $30/hour depending on experience.
Time – We’d like 20 – 30 hours/week from you.
Medical – We pay 60% of your medical insurance.
Retirement – We provide a Simple IRA retirement plan, matched dollar per dollar for up to the first 4% of your salary, and you’ll become eligible after 6 months of employment.
Paid holidays – You’ll get paid for 8 holidays without even showing up to work! these are Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day & following Friday, two days at Christmas, and New Year’s Day.
Vacation – 10 days’ vacation each year.
Additional PTO – You get 5 additional paid personal days off per year — you can use them if you’re sick or need time for family or other personal matters.
